Task Description
Choose one food preservation method from the following: drying, pickling, or freezing. Try this method at home with the help of your family. Follow these steps:
- Prepare: Decide what food item you will preserve (e.g., fruits, vegetables).
- Process: Perform the preservation process step by step.
- Document:
- Write a short explanation (100-150 words) of the steps you followed to preserve the food.
- Include 2-3 photos of your activity OR draw illustrations showing the process.
- Reflect: Write a paragraph (100-150 words) about:
- Why this method is important for reducing food waste.
- How it could help in your daily life or in your community.
Examples
- Drying: Slice fruits like mangoes or bananas, place them in sunlight, and observe how they dry.
- Pickling: Pickle vegetables like carrots or cucumbers using vinegar and spices.
- Freezing: Prepare a batch of cooked food or raw vegetables and freeze them properly.
