Putting Out the Fire

- How to Safely Extinguish a Fire:

  • Spread the coals and embers to cool them down.
  • Pour water over the fire while stirring the ashes.
  • Check for heat: Use the back of your hand to feel for warmth. If it’s still hot, repeat the process.

Why It’s Important:

Even small embers can reignite and cause wildfires.

 

  • You’re done with your campfire. How do you make sure it’s fully out?
Fires can be a friend, but only if we treat them with respect.

Remember to control the flames, feed them carefully, and always ensure they’re completely out when you’re done.
