- Then disaster struck. A teenager doing their homework rocked me back and forth until... CRACK! One of my legs broke. I was placed into the library’s storage room like yesterday’s news. I thought my story was over. But wait! Mrs. Smith, a DIY wizard saw me and gasped, ‘This chair has potential!’ Before I knew it, she transformed me into a swing for her garden. I went from being broken to literally flying. How’s that for a comeback?

 

  • Have you ever turned something old or broken into something new and useful? What was it, and how did you do it?
  • Do you have any items at home that you’re not using anymore? How could you transform them into something useful? Example: Turn a glass jar into a pencil holder or a broken T-shirt into a cleaning rag.
