6.7.14 The Wanderings of the Furry Flibbles

The Flibbles first wandered to a vast, golden grassland where the wind made the tall grasses dance. At first, they were thrilled. “This is so open! We can run and bounce all day!” squeaked Mip, the youngest Flibble.

But soon, problems arose. The grasses provided no shade, and the sun beat down on their furry bodies. “I can’t live like this! My tail is frizzing from the heat,” complained Pip, the tribe’s fashion expert. And at night, predators like foxes and owls stalked the shadows. The Flibbles hurried away.

Lesson from the Grasslands: Open spaces are lovely, but they lack the shelter and safety of a forest.
