P1.5.5 What is that Smell?
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a number used to measure how clean or polluted the air is in a specific area. It helps people understand if the air is safe to breathe or poses health risks.
It ranges from zero (clean) to 999 (hazardous). Standard air quality monitors are designed to measure pollution levels up to 999 and not higher, because high values are not possible to measure accurately.
