There is a 72-metre-tall statue of Confucius in the place where he was born 2500 years ago.

He was a great thinker but when he was young, he looked after sheep and horses. However, he was very smart. He started to teach others after he turned 30, and people listened to him. He taught more than 3000 students in his life. Later he became a great leader.
