4.7.9 My Little Sister
My sister wants to know everything. She asks: "Why do things cost that much? Look at sugar and salt. They are both white powder but salt is much-much cheaper."
I told her: "The seas and oceans have salt water. We can take salt out of them any time. As for sugar, you have to grown plants to take sugar out of them. Sugar is made from sugar beets. They look like beetroot, but sweeter."
Then she went on asking:
- Why does my friend’s family have a new car and we don’t have one? My answer
- Why doesn’t our father have a better job and make more money? My answer
Do you know the answers to her other questions?
- Who makes more money? A taxi driver or a company manager?
- How do banks make money?
