I was working in a second-hand clothes store. We had labels with different colours on each dress. The red label meant that we sold the dresses for 2 dollars. The old price was also on the clothes. For example, the price was 10 dollars, but we sold the red labelled dresses for 2 dollars.
A woman came into the store and wanted a dress with a red label. The old price was 5 dollars. The woman came to me:
"I know this dress is 5 dollars, but I only have 3. Can you give me the dress for that?“
I saw that the red label and said, "In fact anything with a red label is only 2 dollars."
The woman looked at me and asked “So, you can’t do it for 3 dollars?“
