Channapatna toys

My little sister is 3 years old. She has toys, but different from my toys. Her toys are simple and beautiful, made of wood. She has two women, an elephant and a horse with a man on it.

These Channapatna toys are very famous. Channapatna is a town of 70 thousand people in India. These toys have been made for hundreds of years and are still very popular. They are made of wood and painted with vegetables.

Nearly everyone in the town makes these toys. There are around 50 toy factories, but many people make them in their homes.
