4.5.17 Dinner with Granny

On Sunday my Granny invited me for dinner. She is a nice old woman. I was happy to have a good meal. Granny is good at cooking.

I sat at the table, waiting for the tasty food.

Granny looked at me and said, 'Please don't keep your arms out. Just keep them at your sides.'

I did so.

I coughed. I had Covid long ago and sometimes I still cough.

Granny looked at me and said, 'Please cover your mouth when you cough.'

I did so.

Granny brought the roast chicken. It was very tasty, as always. A piece of chicken went between my teeth. I tried to take it out with my fingers.

Granny looked at me and said, 'Please don't do that. Use your tongue.'

I did so.

We had cake and coffee after the roast chicken. I had a runny nose, so I tried to blow it with my fingers.

Granny looked at me and said, 'Please use a tissue to blow your nose.'

I did so.

When I finished my dinner, I stood up.

Granny looked at me and said, 'Please do not leave the table until I finish my dinner.'

I sat down.

After dinner I told Granny, 'Thank you Granny for the lessons.'

Granny smiled and said, 'Welcome. What about the dinner?'

Are you good at dinner?

  • Do you close your arms, or spread out at the table?
  • Do you cover your mouth when you cough?
  • Do you use a tissue when you blow your nose?
  • Do you use your tongue to get out food between your teeth?
  • Do you sit at the table until everyone finishes eating?
