3.9.7 The McDonald’s Story

What’s wrong with McDonald's?

Everything:

Fast

Some people have no time to make breakfast. Or they are just lazy. Whatever, they head to the nearest McDonald's. The food arrives fast. The taste is so good, and the food is so cheap.

People eat it quickly, because they have no time. They eat their hamburgers in the street, from a piece of paper, or a box. They don’t sit at a table anymore. They buy fast, they eat fast.

Food

Many people say that McDonald's meals are not healthy. They call it junk food.

The food is high in fat, they make people fat. It is also high in salt. Too much salt is not good for our heart. The food is low in  vitamins.

McDonald’s fries potatoes and patties in cheap, unhealthy vegetable oil. If you eat it often, it can give you headaches and skin illness.

There is plenty of sugar in drinks. They sell Coca-cola, which is not good for your teeth.

Wrapping

McDonald’s uses papers, boxes and plastic cups. We use them all only once, then put them into the trash can. Over one hundred million hamburger boxes end up in trash each day.
