COVID-19

In 2019, a new virus called Covid-19 came into the world from China. It makes some people very ill. Every month, more and more people got sick in every country. There is no pill, and doctors cannot cure people who are ill with this virus. People have to protect themselves by wearing masks and washing their hands often.

In 1918, another virus made people ill: the Spanish flu. Five hundred million people got the virus, and fifty million died. Though its name was "Spanish", this virus came from the United States, not from Spain.
