The first cities

People made walls around their towns, as they were afraid of other towns. The towns turned into cities. The buildings were bigger than in towns. There were many markets, but no shops. People bought everything they needed in the markets, shoes, clothes and food. They liked arts, painting and music.
In cities a lot of people lived together. So many that they didn’t all know each other. They were not friends any more.
