3.10 Weather
backI was on holiday in Indonesia, Bali. Bali is a popular island with tourists. It has everything you need: yellow sand, blue sea, nice weather and cheap food.
One day, after lunch, I went for a walk with my friend. We went to the beach. I saw a young girl. She was wearing a colourful dress. She was from Bali, a Balinese girl.
"Can I take a photo?" I asked. She looked at me and asked, "How much do you pay?"
"How much do you want?" I asked.
"Two dollars," she said.
I had only one dollar. I didn’t take a photo.
We walked away. Then I saw two boys. They were sitting and chatting in the sand. They were wearing beautiful clothes. They were Balinese boys.
"Can I take a photo?" I asked. They looked at me and asked, "How much do you pay?"
"How much do you want?" I asked.
"Five dollars," they said.
I had only one dollar. I didn’t take a photo.
We walked away. Then I saw an old man. He was playing the guitar. His head dress was colourful, nice. He was a Balinese man.
"Can I take a photo?" I asked. He looked at me and asked "How much do you pay?"
"How much do you want?" I asked.
Ten dollars, he said.
I had only one dollar. I didn’t take a photo.
We walked away. Then I saw people dancing on the beach. They were wearing white skirts and orange shirts.
I didn’t ask them. I took many many photos for free.
