It was Saturday, my father’s birthday. I put the knife into my bag. I hid it, nobody saw it. Somebody was at the door. Father said, ‘Please open the door.’
I opened it. There were two people at the door, but I didn’t know them. My father said, ‘Meet my friends from China. They are foreigners. Greet them.’ I said ‘Hey, good morning, how are you?’ The first man said ‘Hi, nice to meet you.’ The second man said ‘ Hi, how are you doing?’ My father smiled. ‘Now you know each other.’ |
