10.9.2 The Eco Mouse and the City Mouse
Eco Mouse’s Escape
The next morning, Eco Mouse woke to the sound of honking cars and rushed footsteps. The air was thick with smog. He coughed as he tried to open a window for fresh air, only to find it sealed shut.
"City Mouse," he said, "I can’t stay here. The noise, the pollution, the constant running from problems. It’s too much. In my village, we work together to prevent these crises, not just survive them."
City Mouse shrugged. "I guess it’s just a different way of living. But hey, at least we have everything delivered to us!"
Eco Mouse shook his head. "Everything except peace."
