One third of people are poor on the earth. Half of the poor people are children. Why? Because poor people often have many children and their parents die early. They don’t have a good diet and drinking water, they don’t go to school. Sometimes they don’t even have a house to live in.  There are 2.2 billion children in the world. One billion children receive food only once a day. Are you the lucky one who receives food three times a day?

Do you think it only happens in poor countries? No. Even in rich countries like in Europe, one in seven kids lives in poor families. They will grow up with poor education and will make only a little money.

I learned that during Covid poor people have become poorer and the rich have become richer, all around the world. In some countries people received some help, for example a bag of flour, rice, or even money. Many people lost their jobs and could not make a living. Most of them have 3 or more children. They had to send their children to work. Some said: ‘what can I do, the schools are closed, so my kids cannot sit at home, they have to work’. You know what? They are lucky because they are still alive. Many people died from Covid and many of them died of hunger because they could not buy food.

While they died, the richest people became even richer and big companies made huge money. The ten richest men in the world now have twice as much money as before Covid. 20% of people have 80% of all money. They make money with money.
