Yesterday, a dog hurried home after a butcher gave him a bone. As he was crossing a narrow bridge over a river, he stopped to look at his reflection in the water. He thought he saw another dog in the water. "His bone is bigger than my bone," he thought. He opened his mouth and leapt into the cold water. He wanted to get the other bone. After a few minutes, he got out of the water. He was shivering. "Now, I've lost my bone," he said, "and I'm cold and wet."
